Principles Of Operation

• As the flow of the liquid passes the paddlewheel, a signal is generated
• The frequency generated by the magnet and internal electronics are in direct proportion to the velocity of the fluid
• The output signal is transmitted to the monitor/transmitter

Considerations

• Paddlewheels are insertion type sensors and must be in a pipe that is full of liquid to ensure accuracy

Paddlewheel Flow Sensor Options:

515 – Plastic Sensor – no power required

525 – Metal Sensor – no power required, great for high temperature & high-pressure applications.

2536  -Plastic  Sensor – a wide range of applications, a great starting point

2537 – Plastic (Blind)

2540 – Stainless Sensor – For higher temperature and pressure applications, can be wet tap style.
