Pvc-u (unplasticised Polyvinyl chloride)
Unplasticised Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC-U) is one of the most widely used thermoplastic materials in the world. Common to many different industries, PVC-U provides outstanding chemical resistance for various applications.
Highly resistant to acids, alkalis, alcohols and many other corrosive materials; PVC-U is frequently used in the water treatment and drinking water industries, chemical production, textile manufacturing and commercial pool markets.
PVC-U is also commonly referred to as uPVC, PVCU and PVCI.

PVC-U Pipe dimensions
SCH80 VS SCH40 PVC
SCH80 and SCH40 are references to the pipe wall thickness. The higher the Schedule (SCH) the thicker the wall.
We supply both Grey SCH80 Pipe and Clear SCH40 PVC-U Pipe.
DATASHEETS
Metric vs Imperial PVC-u
PVC-U pipe outside diameters (OD) and wall thicknesses can vary based on the international Specifications.
PAAS typically stocks the Imperial range of BS and ASTM products to suit the Australian Market; with Metric (European) sizing available on request.
